Metro Manila Tentmakers Lengthen Cords to
Expand the Tent
The Tentmakers, REACH-Metro Manila's young professionals
sector, was reorganized during a relaxing day of swimming
and cooking out together in Antipolo on February 21. The aim
was to expand their tent by integrating young professionals
from various ministry areas who have migrated to the city
for work. They hope to preserve the fruit of the ministry's
labor by providing a welcoming environment as graduates adjust
to life in Manila.
Weng Irizari, ministry intern in Metro Manila, said he hoped
the gathering would encourage the young professionals to continue
laboring as disciples in their new environment rather than
think that their part is over now that they are no longer
students.
Those attending included, Kristine Abulencia, Marlon Callueng,
Weng Irizari, Janice Llanes, Marife Matildo, Rose Molina,
Lety Moran, Ella Ramil and Jaer Asilum from Manila; Rey Aguire
and Alma Cailer from Batac; and Millet Beltran and Noel Beltran
from Cabagan.
Several agreed to keep in touch with people from their former
ministry areas as they transfer to Manila‹Rey for Batac,
Marlon for Cabagan and Weng for Mindanao.
Rey said the bonds between the brethren originally from different
ministry areas was strengthened and that it was a joy to be
together, and see that each one is still walking with the
Lord.
The Tentmakers met again on April 3 to discuss their goals
for the group.
