REACH, Inc.
is governed by the Board of Trustees, but at the ministry level, it is led by the National Development Staff (NDS).
The NDS is made up of elders of the ministry who model Christian maturity and are experienced disciplemakers. Together they provide spiritual direction for the disciplemaking movement, consistent with Biblical principles. They also shepherd key leaders in the various ministry areas to carry out the REACH vision to make disciples.
Gloria P. Jimenez esatblished a relationship with Jesus Christ in her student days at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna. As a growing disciple she gave up career opportunities to live for a year with Gene and Helen Tabor for additional discipleship training. God honored her commitment to seek first His Kingdom in the years ahead as she continued to make disciples and serve in the ministry. In 1996, she was chosen as Distinguished Alumnus for Professional Practice by UPLB. She also served as President of the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers. She is currently a manager for Planning and Evaluation at the Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. She earned a doctorate in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2004. She is also a former Chair of the REACH Board of Trustees.
Dr. Paul Pasicolan is the Director of the Upland Resources and Development Center in Isabela State University-Cabagan. Paul postponed advanced studies that could have fast-tracked his forestry career in order to serve in the ministry for several years to see the young ministry firmly established in Cabagan. He lived a simple sacrificial lifestyle and God meet all of his needs. Paul played a significant role in the spiritual development of men and women, some who now serve as local missionaries in the ministry. Paul also has a heart for the unevangelized and currently works abroad as a tentmaker. Paul earned his Ph.D. from Leiden University in the Netherlands in Environment and Development Studies with a specialization in Social Anthropology.
Dr. Teody Solsoloy struggled living the Christian life on his own after college graduation. When he reached a point of being ashamed of his life, he read in John 15 that God called him to bear fruit. He cried out to God to change his life and give him boldness to share the gospel. God answered his prayer. Within three weeks 27 people accepted Christ into their hearts. Teody and his wife, Aida, have sheperded the Batac ministry in Ilocos Norte and built an apartment on their property to give them greater opportunity to invest in young lives. Teody is also a former member of the REACH Board of Trustees. He has a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguana. He is a scientist and technical adviser for the Bureau of Agrarian Reform.
Dr. Rodolfo Estigoy is a previous ministry area coordinator in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija and former Chair of the REACH Board of Trustees. He is also head of REACH’s Materials Development committee, which oversees the production of The Discipleship Family Series, a Bible study series written by Filipinos for Filipinos. Rod built an apartment at the back of his house so student ministry leaders at the Central Luzon State University could be gathered more easily for discussion and training. Vocationally, Rod is chief of the Technology Promotion and Extension Division at the Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension, a government agency under the Department of Agriculture. He was previously assigned as a consultant at the Food and Agriculture Organization (Philippines) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Cambodia. He has a Ph.D. in Rural Development.
Joe Boeve hails from western Michigan. He was discipled in the Navigator ministry as a student. Joe first came to the Philippines as a single man and was excited that he could serve the Lord in a holistic ministry using his hands, as a carpenter, as well as following up others spiritually. He was part of a team that helped establish a flourishing ministry in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. In those early days, several thousands came to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Joe later earned a Bachelors of Religious Education from the Reformed Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is an ordained minister of the Christian Reformed Church and served a number of years as a missionary of the Christian Reformed World Missions. Joe and his wife, Kate, returned to the Philippines to work with REACH in 1998. Over the years he has worked in staff development and established the Summer Training Program for collegiate student leaders with the help of his wife, Kate, and the local REACH missionaries. The Boeves are currently on home assignment in the U.S.
